The spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee, Abolfazl Amouei, stated that the members of the Iranian nuclear agreement are known, emphasizing that there is no place for Saudi Arabia in this agreement.
Amouei explained in an interview with Al Jazeera that the nuclear agreement and regional issues are completely separate paths, revealing the initiation of a dialogue initiative with regional countries. He added that dialogue with regional nations is unrelated to the nuclear agreement, noting that Iran does not accept discussions about its defense policies with anyone. Amouei confirmed that Iran is engaging in discussions with its neighbors regarding regional security, not with the United States, pointing out that the Biden administration is still operating within the framework of the Trump administration, which is disappointing. He affirmed that there is no new agreement in the absence of a new American policy.
Amouei stated that there is no basis for Saudi Arabia's demands to be part of the nuclear agreement, highlighting the significant ambiguity surrounding Saudi Arabia's nuclear program, noting that Iran will not grant Saudi Arabia any role in the nuclear agreement. The Iranian parliamentarian pointed out that Tehran is ready to engage in dialogue with Riyadh on contentious issues, including arms purchases and the war in Yemen.
On the European front, Abolfazl Amouei remarked that Iran will not forget the negative role France played in the negotiations of 2015, affirming that France is now repeating the same role. He stated, "France's claims about the necessity for Tehran to return to the nuclear agreement first are illogical," adding that the remarks made by French President Emmanuel Macron are ineffective and will not contribute to a return to the nuclear agreement.
