Recently, the artist Elissa decided to reconnect with her vast audience, surprising them by sharing the first episode of "Elissa Podcast" yesterday, Wednesday, after she had previously deleted her musical content from the app about two years ago at the hands of Rotana.
In the first episode, Elissa discussed traits associated with her personality such as boldness, sensitivity, intelligence, honesty, and more. She also shared events and experiences from her past, mentioning characteristics from her time in boarding school, her special relationship with her parents, the challenges of her artistic beginnings, and her experience with illness. Elissa stated, "I have worked very hard on myself; of course, I had musical and artistic intelligence while also striving to develop my social and emotional intelligence through self-criticism to activate various types of intelligence, in addition to having a curiosity and self-education."
She added, "A person should benefit from their experiences to enhance their personality, as well as self-criticism, which helps them to develop. One should not give up but rather face every hardship, especially since life is short. It is essential to develop oneself and take advantage of all their physical, psychological, and mental energies to be active in society." She emphasized: "I didn't know my capacity for endurance and fighting until I went through the experience of illness, stating: 'When I learned of my illness, I felt that life had ended. However, I recognized the reality and gathered all my energies and decided to continue my artistic activities and fight this illness, which can be overcome by maintaining a high spirit. I came out of this experience without any psychological effects. It is essential to always remember that God does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.'"
Elissa clarified that what matters most to her when undertaking new projects is to satisfy herself rather than to please others. If her primary aim had been to fear people's reactions, she would not have produced her latest bold works such as "Ready to Accept It" and the booklet "I want to Melt," affirming that she is an artist who knows her limits. She mentioned that she has become accustomed to being strong and noted that she is one of the artists who have faced attacks and criticism in their lives, and whenever she felt sad from the harshness of the attacks, she would turn to her father, who comforted her a lot.
