Portable Device for Measuring Body Fat Percentage in Seconds

The Bello2 is a small advanced device that allows you to easily scan your body to analyze body fat, visceral fat, metabolic levels, and body mass index, all within a matter of seconds. It can be said that the Bello2 is the most useful device you can get to track your fitness goals for the new year; it is completely different from a weight scale. Certainly, your weight scale tells you your weight (or more accurately, your mass), but it does not provide a truly valuable dataset when it comes to calculating "fitness." You can infer your body mass index based on your weight, but this is merely a half-completed way to measure actual fitness.

What the Bello2 does is give you a detailed account of the actual data that tells you how fit you are. Using near-infrared spectral analysis, the portable device can calculate your body fat content with a level of accuracy similar to DEXA scans and uses a mobile app to complement this data with your body measurements (which you enter independently) to provide you with a better overview of your health, with the ability to also create dietary programs and health goals for you.

The device employs a series of 8-wavelength NIR LED lights operating within a wavelength range of 650 to 1100 nanometers, making it safe, non-invasive, and radiation-free. Instead of measuring blood oxygen levels, the device uses the same technology to measure oxygen and water saturation in capillaries, hemoglobin concentration, and fat in tissues across different parts of the body.

While the original Bello1 from 2020 collected data from only two parts of the body, the Bello2 increases this number to 5, allowing it to gain a clearer picture of your fitness levels before presenting this data to you in an easily understandable manner through the Bello2 app. Using the device is straightforward: place its sensors on your skin and press the power button. The device is capable of gathering data from 5 different parts of your body: your abdomen, the right and left biceps, and the right and left vastus muscles (the outer part of your thighs).

Within a few seconds, the device calculates the data and sends it to the mobile app, which presents it to you in a carefully compiled dashboard that informs you of your body fat content, body mass index, and metabolic health index. To help you better understand the information, the app uses this data to create suitable exercise plans and dietary systems, then offers what it calls "9 Block Therapy," a unique health program that allows you to reach the body type you desire. The app takes inputs from your current body measurements and allows you to set a body type goal, after which you receive highly specific exercises and dietary recommendations based on your goals, according to Yanko Design's website.
