Al-Burji Hospital Management Denies Rumors About Not Receiving a Patient with Fractures

The management of Al-Burji Hospital has denied the news circulating on social media regarding the hospital's refusal to admit a patient with fractures in her body.

The National News Agency reported that Al-Burji Hospital's administration issued a statement concerning the news that emerged on social media this evening, claiming that the hospital did not receive a patient with fractures (in her legs and spine). The hospital's statement confirmed that these claims are entirely false, clarifying that the patient was admitted yesterday evening upon her arrival at the hospital's emergency department (under the Ministry of Public Health) without any hesitation or conditions, after being refused by other hospitals.

The statement added that the surgical operation was scheduled for this evening, and the patient's family was requested to secure the required funds for the surgeries when available. The statement also mentioned that there were intentions from some protesters from Tripoli to go to the hospital to demonstrate, prompting the Mayor of Amioun, Mr. Malik Fares, to kindly contact the hospital for clarification and then visit the patient in her room, where he confirmed that the reports were untrue. He subsequently denied these claims on the municipality's website.

The statement highlighted that, following the spread of this news, the youth of Amioun and Internal Security Forces promptly arrived at the hospital to protect it from any potential disturbances. The hospital administration expressed its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the municipality of Amioun, its mayor, the Internal Security Forces, and the youth of Amioun, promising to remain loyal and committed to them.
