Title: Nizam: "To Open a Political Window in the Wall of the Government Crisis"

Title: Nizam:

Member of the Future Bloc, MP Nazih Nizam, described the statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry (made by Deputy Minister Mikhail Bogdanov regarding the formation of a "working government headed by Hariri") as "refuting all claims made by the Free Patriotic Movement in this regard," noting that "the Russian leadership expresses its opinion clearly in an official statement as was the case, and does not adopt a fluctuating approach to positions."

Nizam called in a statement to the newspaper /An-Nabaa/ for "opening a political window in the wall of the government crisis, as it is neither nationally nor internationally acceptable for a stricken country like Lebanon to remain without a government that carries out the required reforms and reconstruction efforts. It is necessary to find a bright angle, so that everyone can converge on common denominators and move to form a government sooner rather than later." He emphasized that "everyone must be convinced that no one can eliminate the other, and President Hariri, despite the obstacles placed in his path, dedicates all his time to serving Lebanon, communicating with countries around the world both east and west, at a time when the current government and the presidency have made no contact for the benefit of Lebanon, leaving the country's concerns to others, as if it does not matter to them." Regarding his expectations of Basil's speech today, Nizam expressed that he does not expect anything positive "from this man who places Lebanon on one side and his personal interests on another," considering that "he will resort to escalation, but this approach will not solve the problem."

For his part, lawyer Edmond Rizk noted in a conversation with the newspaper "An-Nabaa" that the new investigating judge will start by reviewing the file and then taking into account the events that took place, considering that the manner in which Judge Fadi Sawwan was removed and Judge Bitar was appointed in his place is "a precedent that has no equal in the history of the Lebanese judiciary." He said, "We are experiencing an organic imbalance in institutions of all kinds, and the overlap of authorities. Authorities are one thing, and institutions are another," describing the situation in general as "unsound and unnatural," attributing it to the malfunctioning of the authorities and those who manage them, and the disruption of responsibilities that result from the selectivity of those in power, citing the saying "Give your bread to the baker even if he eats half." Rizk stressed that "the matter requires specialization and competence, as laid out in the Taif Agreement according to Article 95 of the Constitution. Competence and specialization must be applied starting from the political authority, which unfortunately has become deficient in its qualifications, which may reflect on all state institutions and lead to their malfunction and misuse."
