Lebanese media personality Rabia Zayyat revealed her recovery from the coronavirus via her personal social media accounts.
In a tweet on Twitter, Zayyat wrote: "After two heavy weeks, thank God, I have triumphed over the coronavirus. Thank you for every word of love, every prayer, every question; they helped me alongside medication to boost my spirits and overcome the illness, weakness, emotional distress, and pain." The Lebanese media figure expressed that the illness was not easy for her, stating: "The battle was not easy, but it is definitely a lesson from the tough lessons of life."
Zayyat received congratulations from her audience and colleagues in the artistic and media fields, who expressed their happiness that she overcame the illness in a short period, wishing her ongoing health and safety.
About two weeks ago, Zayyat announced her infection with the coronavirus via her personal social media accounts, indicating that despite all the preventive measures she took, she could not avoid infection due to the nature of her work. Zayyat wrote on social media: "I tried to protect myself from the coronavirus, but due to my profession, I could not avoid contracting it. The result is positive with annoying symptoms; I rely on God Almighty."
Many of her colleagues supported her, including Lebanese actor Youssef Al-Khal, who commented: "Wishing you a speedy recovery." Carol Samaha wrote: "I wish you a swift recovery, dear Rabia," while media personality Ricardo Karam advised her: "Be strong and stay optimistic; God is always good." Egyptian actor Nabil El-Halfawy commented: "Wishing you safety; may you pass through this well," and Amer Zayan wrote: "Take care and may you not see any harm."
