Lebanese star Ragheb Alama revealed that he has been a self-made man since the beginning of his artistic journey four decades ago. He mentioned that he had two suits, one black and one burgundy, which he wore during his performances for six consecutive months to save money necessary for creating his artistic character.
Alama made his comments during his appearance in the first episode of the celebrity show "Carpool Karaoke" hosted by journalist Wissam Breidi. He recalled a photo of himself from 1989 when he was pursued by the police in Los Angeles for shooting the song "Qalbi Eshaqha," due to not having the required permits, as he could not afford them, and they took a lot of time to obtain.
On another note, Ragheb Alama mentioned his communication with Emirati artist Ahlam, congratulating her on the success of her new album. He expressed the great love he has for her, stating that she has a good heart, adding, "I love her but she's a bit crazy."
Additionally, he confirmed that there are no disputes between him and artist Amr Diab, noting that his two sons, Khaled and Louay, appreciate him a lot. Alama expressed his pride and admiration for the Hope Probe project, considering it a historical achievement that is a source of pride for all Arabs.
He further mentioned that when his sons decided to move out of Lebanon, he chose Dubai for them, as he believes the Emirates is a country of law and development, assuring that their future would be in safe hands, given its wise leadership, which is regarded as one of the most important in the world.
It is noted that Alama told journalist Wissam Breidi that he arrived to film the first episode of "Carpool Karaoke" on a bicycle, highlighting his love for sports. He indicated that cycling is his preferred mode of transport and that what encouraged him to be a guest on the show was its concept, his fondness for Wissam Breidi, and his desire to connect with his audience in the Emirates through Dubai TV.
