Farewell to Dalal: Milestones in the Life of the Mother and Artist from the Most Famous Artistic Family

Media personality Rami Radwan, the husband of Donia Samir Ghanem, announced the passing of artist Dalal Abdel Aziz after a long battle with illness that lasted about four months due to complications from COVID-19. The late artist Samir Ghanem had passed away weeks earlier as a result of the effects of the virus, while his wife, Dalal Abdel Aziz, suffered health issues due to the virus's impact on her respiratory system and lungs. In this context, artist Hassan El-Raddad, husband of Emy Samir Ghanem, confirmed the announcement made by Rami Radwan regarding Dalal Abdel Aziz's death, saying: "The kindest soul, I have only seen goodness from you my dear, may God forgive you, have mercy on you, and reunite us together in the afterlife."

The late artist Dalal Abdel Aziz is considered one of the most prominent actresses known for her natural performances. Despite her success in her artistic career and education, she did not neglect her family but contributed to earning them the title of "the most famous artistic family." She was born on January 16, 1960, in Sharqia Governorate and was the wife of artist Samir Ghanem. Their daughters, Donia and Emy, enjoy great success in the artistic field. Dalal entered the artistic scene in 1977 with some small roles, after which artist Nour El-Demerdash introduced her to theater, marking her real beginning.

She graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at Zagazig University and later obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media from Cairo University. Her aspirations did not stop there; she eventually succeeded in obtaining a diploma in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. Despite her academic success, she did not neglect her family due to her studies or her work in the artistic field, but rather focused on nurturing her daughters' talents.

Dalal Abdel Aziz appeared in more than 40 films, most notably "Sleeping in Honey" and "Sorry for the Disturbance." She also participated in numerous theatrical works with her husband, Samir Ghanem, in addition to successful television series such as "Morning and Evening Talk" and "Mafyar." The late artist Dalal Abdel Aziz was honored in 1998, receiving the title of Best Actress during the Cairo Television Festival. In 1984, she married artist Samir Ghanem, and they welcomed their daughters Donia and Amal.
