Abu Dhabi has retained the title of the safest city in the world for the sixth consecutive year, according to the results of the "Crime Index 2022" published by the global online database and statistics site "Numbeo," which surveys crime levels in 459 cities worldwide at the beginning of each year. Abu Dhabi was awarded the title of the city with the lowest crime rate, scoring only 12.12 on the "Crime Index 2022" and achieving a safety score of 87.88 out of 100 on the "Safety Index 2022," also from Numbeo, in parallel with the crime index. No other city among the 459 listed achieved this score, allowing Abu Dhabi to maintain its position as the safest city globally for the sixth year.

Numbeo's accompanying data revealed that individuals feel a safety score of 92.78 when strolling alone in Abu Dhabi during the day and 85.44 at night out of 100, both of which are notably high figures.

Lieutenant General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, the Commander of Abu Dhabi Police, praised the guidance and support of the wise leadership that prioritizes security and safety for the happiness of citizens, residents, and visitors. He explained that these achievements are the result of the unlimited support and guidance from the wise leadership, noting that Abu Dhabi's continued global leadership is evidence that the Abu Dhabi Police is on the right path, adopting comprehensive strategies to ensure continued security leadership and high adaptability to all new developments and security events in the emirate.
