Consequences of the Sidon - Jezzine Battle: Saad and Messaad Will Not Vote for Berri

The elected MP Dr. Charbel Messaad told "Nidaa Al-Watan" that while he respects President Berri's history and political maneuvering during crises, he will not vote to re-elect him. He stated, "I ran as an independent and on the 'We Vote for Change' list, and this requires new blood in the presidency of the council. I will remain an independent representing the youth and change generation, and I am open to all forces that uphold this slogan. I will focus on proposing a new election law because the current one is a political party law and is unjust. We succeeded by divine ability, in addition to the project to recover stolen funds, raise immunities, separate powers, and ensure judicial independence, among others."

Elected MP Dr. Ghada Ayoub Bou Fadel emphasized that her success in the elections is a reflection of the sovereignty slogan in choosing. She said, "We fought a sovereignty battle against the non-sovereign, and we succeeded with the trust of voters who are tired of political and familial traditions, and thanks to those looking for a better future away from despair and frustration, and with the organized efforts of the Lebanese Forces, which supported me, and with whom I share Lebanese constants." She pointed out that she is the first woman to win in the Jezzine area, "and this in itself is the beginning of serious change."

Elected MP Al-Bizri told "Nidaa Al-Watan" that Sidon "voted for who they wanted with a clear public mood. The election page has been turned, and Sidon remains one family. We will strive for positive change, and we will work to form a significant bloc that contributes to achieving the ambitions of Sidonians and all Lebanese at the legislative and developmental levels needed by Sidon, Jezzine, and all Lebanese regions, as everyone shares the same suffering."

Meanwhile, MP Saad confirmed that Sidon's decision will have a positive impact on legislative work in the coming phase for true change on various levels, considering that the country needs to transition from the current political crisis to a new peaceful and secure reality that meets the aspirations of all Lebanese. "Ultimately, it is the people's choice and the beginning of a path for change in Lebanon, offering hope for the future, especially for the youth," he said. "We will strive to form an independent parliamentary bloc for legislation, monitoring, and accountability, and we will have a say in naming the Prime Minister and the President, excluding the re-election of President Nabih Berri as head of the parliamentary council."
