Banks Declare General Strike: Will Salary Payments Stop?

The Association of Banks in Lebanon has announced a general strike among banks while maintaining a minimum level of banking services for its customers through ATM machines. This decision comes in protest against certain judicial decisions and summons that the association considers to impact the regular functioning of the banking sector and the rights of depositors. For its part, banking sources told "Lebanon24" that salary payments will continue and will not be interrupted.
