MP Jamil Al-Sayyed tweeted, commenting on the restoration of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, saying: "This surprising news has relieved some Lebanese and shocked others. Because Lebanon is a country of contradictions and divisions, there is not a single loyal Lebanese who does not wish for this rapprochement to extend to Arab-Arab closeness, as Lebanon's interest and stability begin here."
