The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the death of 9 of its members, including commander Sherfan Kobani, who heads the Anti-Terror Units, due to the crash of two helicopters while they were heading to the Kurdistan region. They indicated that the helicopters went down while transporting the group to the city of Sulaymaniyah "due to bad weather conditions."
