Capricorn Energy, an oil and gas production company, announced today, Thursday, that it will retain fewer than 40 employees in Britain while focusing on its operations in Egypt. Most of the layoffs are expected to occur in the next two months. The company is set to release a strategy update in April, following two months of shareholder protests regarding its merger plans with Israeli gas company NewMed Energy.
