Moscow Launches Military Satellite into Space

Russia announced today, Thursday, the launch of a military satellite into space from the Plesetsk spaceport. The Ministry of Defense stated in a statement that, "At 09:40 AM, combat teams from the aerospace forces launched a 'Soyuz-2.1a' medium-class vehicle carrying a satellite belonging to the Russian Ministry of Defense from the launch site at the Plesetsk base in the Arkhangelsk region."
