The Kuwait Oil Company announced today, Monday, a state of emergency due to an oil spill in the western part of the country. The company stated that production operations were not affected by the oil spill. It confirmed in a statement that "there were no injuries resulting from the spill, production operations were not impacted, and no toxic gases were detected at the incident site."
