Basil: O Lord, Save Us from Their Destruction

Head of the Strong Lebanon bloc, MP Gebran Basil commented on the Saudi-Iranian understanding and the agreement to restore diplomatic relations between the two countries, stating: "Finally, what should have happened has occurred: the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and soon Syria." He noted that this would create a wave of stability in the region that will affect Lebanon. He added in a tweet: "O Lord, save us from their destruction... but no solution to our crises will come from abroad unless we take the initiative domestically to establish solutions without stubbornness or defiance. External stability helps, internal understanding resolves."
