Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced today, Wednesday, that the presidential and parliamentary elections will take place in the country on May 14, a little more than three months after the devastating earthquake that killed more than 45,000 people in Turkey. Erdogan stated in a speech to lawmakers from the ruling Justice and Development Party, "This nation will do what is necessary on May 14, God willing."
