The Pakistani army reported today, Thursday, that six soldiers were killed by militants in a firefight in a tribal area near the border with Afghanistan. The army stated in a statement: "A firefight occurred between terrorists and our forces," describing the attack that took place in North Waziristan, a hotspot for militants operating on both sides of the border. The statement mentioned that three "terrorists" were also killed during the confrontation, adding that they are still searching the area for any other attackers.
