An American official confirmed today, Tuesday, that "the United States will assist Ukraine through a new military aid package worth $1.2 billion, which will include air defense systems, ammunition, and funds for training." It was revealed that "Ukraine will receive ammunition for a 155 mm howitzer, drone countermeasures, funding for satellite imagery, as well as various forms of training." The funding for the package will come from the "Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative," which allows the Biden administration to purchase weapons instead of drawing from U.S. stockpiles.
