Chinese customs data, released on Tuesday, shows that "China's exports to Russia continued to rise sharply in April compared to last year, while imports fell into single-digit growth." Chinese exports to Russia surged by 153.1% in April to reach $9.6 billion, maintaining a rapid upward trend from March when exports grew by 136.4% after a 19.8% increase in the first two months of the year. Imports from Russia increased by only 8.06% to $9.6 billion after rising by 30.3% in January and February and 40.05% in March.
