The Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation, Judge Ghassan Ouidat, addressed a letter to Judge Tarek Bitar after the latter filed a complaint against him concerning the Beirut port explosion case. He referred to him as "Your Honor, the judge whose hand is restrained," and stated: "If you are able to escape from the corners of the heavens and the earth, then escape. You can only do so by authority," and added, "... by the measure you use, it will be measured to you and added to you, O listeners."
