United States Seeks Permanent Ceasefire in Sudan

White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre stated on Tuesday that President Joe Biden's national security team continues to engage with military leaders from both sides of the conflict in Sudan to support a permanent cessation of fighting there. She added during a press briefing that the United States is working with partners and Sudanese civil groups to achieve a lasting ceasefire and humanitarian arrangements.
