This victory gave the Lakers a 2-1 lead over the defending champions in the best-of-seven series.
D'Angelo Russell also scored 21 points for the Lakers, who regained momentum at home after losing 127-100 in Game Two. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 23 points, while Andrew Wiggins contributed 16 points and 7 rebounds. The Warriors trailed 2-1 in the first round series against the Sacramento Kings but managed to come back.
Klay Thompson added 15 points for the Warriors, who led 30-23 at the end of the first quarter. However, the Lakers bounced back in the second quarter, outscoring the Warriors 22-2 during a stretch to lead 59-48 at halftime.
The Lakers continued to apply pressure in the third quarter, scoring the first 20 points of the period to extend their lead to 86-66. Curry, Thompson, and Draymond Green exited the game with 9 minutes and 11 seconds remaining as the Lakers were ahead 98-72.
