China: Joint Air Patrols with Russia Do Not Target Specific Countries

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a regular press briefing today, Thursday, that "the Chinese-Russian joint patrols do not target specific countries and are consistent with international law and norms." China and Russia began joint air patrols on Tuesday over the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea, marking the sixth such patrol since 2019, prompting neighboring countries, South Korea and Japan, to immediately deploy fighter jets.
