The Passing of Australian Comedian Barry Humphries

Australian artist Barry Humphries, who was famous for his comedic character Dame Edna Everage, has passed away at the age of 89. The star suffered complications from a hip fracture in March after falling in February. Humphries achieved great success in the UK during the 1970s and had his own chat show, "The Dame Edna Experience," in the late 1980s, according to the BBC. Among his characters was "the drunken rogue Sir Les Patterson." He was mourned by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who stated, "He was clever, witty, a writer, and one of a kind, and he was talented."
