A new challenge has swept the TikTok platform, causing the poisoning of several students after they consumed a type of medication. The challenge, which falls under the goal of "the last person to sleep wins," involves trying to stay awake after taking the drug "Clonazepam," which is commonly used to treat seizures or panic and anxiety disorders. Drowsiness is one of the side effects of the medication, according to Agence France-Presse. The public safety authority in the Mexican capital indicated that emergency responders treated five minors who were poisoned inside a school in Mexico City. Authorities in the northern state of Nuevo León reported three similar cases. No student exhibited severe symptoms. The health minister of Nuevo León, Alma Rosa, stated, "Unfortunately, challenges that spread through social media often put others' health at risk," according to AFP.
