"Wall Street Journal": Russia Supplies Iran with Spy and Surveillance Programs

The "Wall Street Journal" revealed a cyber collaboration between Tehran and Moscow, involving advanced devices and software in the field of spying and digital surveillance. The report indicated that since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Russia has provided Iran with communication capabilities as well as advanced listening devices, imaging equipment, and lie detectors. According to the report, both Russia and Iran possess advanced electronic capabilities and share a long history of cyber cooperation, having signed a cyber cooperation agreement two years ago that primarily focuses on cybersecurity networks. The sources from the "Wall Street Journal" noted that Moscow has long hesitated to sell offensive digital capabilities to Tehran for fear that these capabilities might be transferred to other parties.
