The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has started the process of opening the closed road from Qmou'aa to Shannabouk to Qbayyat, which has been blocked since the last snowstorm, according to the National News Agency.
Khaled Dibe, the head of the snow removal center in the Jurd Akkar area, noted that "improved weather conditions have allowed for the reopening of this road, but there are many locations where the task is challenging, especially since the snow thickness in these areas exceeds 4 meters."
He confirmed that "once this operation is completed, the bulldozers will work to reopen the road from Majmash to Marjayin to Hermel, which is still closed due to snow accumulation."
