Arabic Country Receives Accreditation for Information Security Certificates for Electronic Devices and Software

Qatar has received accreditation for issuing information security certificates for electronic devices and software. This occurred during the first conference of the International Agreement for Common Standards (CCRA) for 2023 in Malaysia. Qatar is the first country in the Middle East and North Africa to issue these globally recognized certificates from the committee designated by members of the Global Common Standards Agreement. This achievement follows an audit of the Qatari common standards program under the National Cybersecurity Agency by the certifying bodies from India and Malaysia. The audit team acknowledged that the Qatari program meets all the criteria outlined in the agreement, and the report was submitted to the Chair of the Accreditation Committee of the International Agreement for Common Standards (CCRA).
