State security raided one of the drug and arms trafficking networks in Western Bekaa, composed of Lebanese and Syrians operating in the region, particularly between Khiyara, Hoosh al-Harima, Merj, and Baraliyas. The five members of the network were apprehended, including four Syrians (N.N., A.K., M.Sh., M.K.) and a Lebanese (A.S.). Approximately 40,000 Captagon pills, war equipment, and offensive explosives were seized, hidden in one of the swimming pools in the outskirts of the town of Merj.
