The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture stated today, Wednesday, that it considers "the extension of restrictions on Ukrainian food imports to some European countries until September 15, inappropriate." The ministry said in a statement: "The Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine deems it inappropriate to extend the European Commission's decision to restrict imports of Ukrainian agricultural products until September 15, 2023," adding that it hopes the restrictions will not be extended again. The European Commission announced on Monday the "extension of arrangements under which five of Ukraine's members in the European Union can restrict imports of Ukrainian grains and oilseeds."
