Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of Twitter, has become the richest person in the world as of Wednesday, surpassing French luxury goods tycoon Bernard Arnault, who had held the number one position since 2022. Musk's wealth is now estimated at approximately $215.9 billion, giving him a lead of $700 million over Arnault, the CEO and Chairman of LVMH. The remarkable rise in Tesla's stock prices this year has propelled Musk to the top of the billionaire list, as he owns 23% of the electric car company, helping him add nearly $70 billion to his fortune since early January.
