Israeli Army spokesperson Ella Waweya announced on 'X,' that over the past week, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) operations focused on neutralizing threats and dismantling militant incubators in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, and Southern Lebanon. The goal of these operations was to eliminate threats to Israeli citizens and military forces. In operations led by the Central Command in Judea and Samaria, 60 individuals were arrested, including those plotting imminent attacks and those engaging in arms trade and online incitement.
Waweya also reported the interception of over 20 kilograms of drugs and 10 firearms in the border region near the Jordan Valley, with two suspects detained. Early in the week, the IDF captured an assailant responsible for a stabbing attack in Auja. In the southern region, operations in Gaza targeted five weapons storage facilities and other military targets belonging to Hamas. Additionally, the IDF and Shin Bet neutralized two elite militants involved in the October 7th attack, including a bodyguard of Yahya Sinwar.
Operations led by the Paratroopers Brigade resulted in the discovery and destruction of Hamas infrastructure, weapons storage, and rocket manufacturing facilities. Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir visited the Gaza region to review forces and articulate new strategic operations post-October 7th.
In the Northern Command, IDF operations struck Hezbollah weapon storage facilities, retaliating against its attempted attacks. The Golani Brigade’s combat group neutralized over 400 enemy infrastructures in Southern Lebanon, unearthing anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, IEDs, and other weaponry.
Additionally, an IDF delegation, 'Operation Reaim Alliance,' returned after a 12-day mission in Colombia following an earthquake. Comprising around 80 staff including engineers and rescue experts, they successfully located and rescued 29 missing individuals in Cali.
Spokesperson Waweya emphasized that from Gaza to Southern Lebanon, the IDF remains committed to aggressive actions to thwart emerging threats and protect Israeli citizens.
