The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces announced that a contracted company will undertake road markings in the Salim Salam and Mazraa areas overnight on Saturday and Sunday, August 29 and 30, 2026, from 9 PM to 5 AM.
The work involves two phases: the first phase extends from the Salim Salam descent in front of Look In stores to the new detour intersection, and the second phase runs from in front of Al-Zawiya restaurant to the Cola van parking.
The Internal Security Forces clarified that the roadworks will necessitate the closure of traffic coming from the Salim Salam tunnel towards the detour, redirecting it right towards Mazraa Street, and then left onto Patriarch Ephrem Barsoum Street heading to Corniche al-Mazraa.
Citizens are requested to be aware of these works and comply with the instructions of Internal Security Forces personnel and traffic signs posted in the area, to facilitate traffic movement and avoid congestion.
