The official Anadolu Agency reported today, Saturday, that "the Turkish parliament has approved a proposed 25% increase in pensions, effective from this month and covering six months of the year." The planning and budget committee approved the proposal yesterday, Friday, following a series of tax increases and wage hikes. Details are expected to be published in the official gazette this week, according to the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
