Delay of Aircraft Arrivals in Washington Due to "Repairs"

The Federal Aviation Administration announced that "aircraft arrivals at airports around the U.S. capital, Washington, have been suspended while repairs are being made to the communication system at a radar control facility." The administration stated in a release: "The facility has switched to a backup system. Flights from New York to the capital are exempt from this, and flights departing from airports in the capital region will continue."
