Earthquake Strikes the Philippines with a Magnitude of 6.2

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Philippines today, Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Local authorities warned residents of the potential risk of aftershocks. The earthquake occurred around 10 a.m. (02:00 GMT) at a depth of 124 kilometers, off the coast of Calatagan in Batangas province, near the capital, Manila.
