Organizers announced today, Wednesday, that American tennis player Venus Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, and former world number three Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina will participate in Wimbledon with wildcard entries. Williams is currently ranked 697 and is competing in the Birmingham Classic after achieving her first win in nearly four years. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Svitolina reached the quarterfinals at the French Open.
