Algerian Interior Minister Launches Strong Attack on Morocco

Algerian Interior Minister Ibrahim Mourad, in response to a question about measures taken to curb drug trafficking and ways to treat addicts, stated that "everyone knows that Algeria is targeted by the western neighbor." He pointed out that "the recent operation which involved the seizure of more than one million narcotic pills proves that they are doing everything possible to harm Algeria." It is noteworthy that joint army units, in coordination with various security services, arrested 44 drug dealers during operations across military regions. The Algerian Ministry of Defense had noted that "from March 29 to April 4, 2023, these services thwarted attempts to smuggle large quantities of drugs across the border with Morocco," according to the Algerian channel "Ennahar."
