Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tabboune expressed regret today, Tuesday, that relations with Morocco have reached this level, stating that they have reached a point of no return and that "our position is a reaction." In an interview with Al Jazeera, he indicated that the relationship with France is fluctuating, and that the Algerian ambassador will return to Paris soon. He also highlighted the bilateral relations with Italy, describing them as strategic and historical, stating that they are very strong and date back to the days of the revolution. He mentioned that the energy agreement with Italy includes electricity, gas, and hydrogen, and that his country is working to implement it in cooperation with Europe. Algeria severed ties with Morocco in 2021 amid rising tensions over issues including the Western Sahara conflict.
