In response to a question from the newspaper "Al Joumhouria" about the overall situation in the country and whether recent developments in Nabatieh might lead to Israel occupying new areas, Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri remarked that "the situation is dangerous, and all solutions seem distant. The framework agreement has collapsed. If Israel intends to occupy, it has the capability to do so".
Regarding the role of the Lebanese Army during this phase, as Israel escalates and expands its attacks, Berri emphasized that "the army is the primary pillar, indeed the foundational bridge, for Lebanese stability".
