International Taekwondo Federation Organizes 4 Training Camps for Referees

Since February, the International Taekwondo Federation has been organizing four training camps for international referees (280 referees) from all continents to select Olympic referees. The best 60 referees will be chosen, distributed according to each continent's quota, with 30 men and 30 women, and these selected referees will participate in most major tournaments. They will also take part in the continental qualifiers at the beginning of 2024.

International instructor and Olympic referee, Vice President of Asian Referees, member of the Technical Committee of the International Police Federation, member of the Education Committee of the International Federation, head of the referees committee and head of the Education Committee at the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, Master Daniel Khorasanjian, has been selected to participate in the special camp for Asia and Oceania.

Participants underwent intensive tests in scoring speed, match management, video rules and regulations, medical and physical tests, as well as oral and written examinations.

After two weeks, the International Federation announced the results for Asia, listing the best eight men and eight women referees. The list included Olympic referee Khorasanjian among the top eight referees in Asia and among the top sixty globally. Khorasanjian received congratulations from Dr. Habib Zreifah, President of the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, for this achievement, which adds to his series of international and Olympic accomplishments both technically and as a referee.
