A source told Reuters today that the date for lighting the Olympic flame for the Paris 2024 edition will be April 14, marking the start of the countdown to the games, which will take place in the French capital from July 26 to August 11. The traditional flame lighting ceremony will be held in Greece, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, and it will remain in the country for a week before being handed over to Athens and then moving to France.
