French President Emmanuel Macron faced an embarrassing moment after an autistic journalist asked him about his relationship with his wife Brigitte and how he got involved with her being his teacher. During a session with autistic interviewers from "Le Papotin," a venue established in 1990 at a daycare center in Paris, one journalist stated, "You are the president; you should be a role model and not marry your teacher!"
The question elicited laughter, and the interviewer described them as "unusual journalists" known for asking such bold questions. Macron replied, "You don't choose who you love. She wasn't really my teacher; she taught me theater. That doesn't matter."
The president's response received subdued laughter, with one journalist commenting, "That was a clever answer." Macron responded, "That's right! You are already reviewing my answers. It's not like she was a math teacher." He added, jokingly looking at the journalist, "I'm trying to negotiate."
