The father of Algerian teenager Naila Al-Marzouki has broken his silence following several days of unrest in France after his son's death from a bullet fired by a French police officer. Hossam Al-Hamouti stated that he was searching for a way to reconcile with his son, as he had been imprisoned and had not been able to follow him as he grew up. Al-Hamouti added, "When the time for our meeting and reconciliation approached, sadly my son passed away, and I learned about it from a friend who told me that in the street where Naila lives, a boy was killed by the police. It was shocking when the media showed the photo of the boy." Naila's father is calling for justice for his son and retribution against the imprisoned officer.
