Title: Mikati: Confident Ministers Will Not Neglect Their Duties

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirmed that "the upcoming phase will focus on managing state affairs and citizens' concerns," pointing out that "the first and final solution lies in swiftly electing a new president." In response to a question about some ministers boycotting government work, Mikati told "An-Nahar": "I am confident that none of the ministers will neglect their national duties or refrain from attending when necessary. I know all the ministers, and I have tested them in government, and I trust their national sense." Regarding urgent matters that the caretaker government will focus on addressing in the coming phase, he noted that "there are several immediate issues starting from electricity and contributing to improving supply, to the necessity of passing reform bills in the Parliament emphasized by the International Monetary Fund, highlighting the importance of legislation and attendance in parliamentary sessions."
