U.S. Navy Seizes Second Iranian Drug Shipment in the Gulf of Oman

The U.S. Navy has seized a shipment of drugs smuggled from Iran, marking the second such operation within two days. The U.S. Coast Guard reported via Twitter that a cutter seized heroin worth $80 million from a fishing vessel transiting the Gulf of Oman on May 10, during the ship’s second drug bust this week. Lieutenant Nick Jabs, the commander of the vessel Glenn Harris, stated, "We are here to work with regional partners and disrupt any destabilizing maritime activity at sea."
