Setting Date for Trump's Trial in Classified Documents Case

It was reported in a court order today, Friday, that "the federal judge overseeing the trial of former U.S. President Donald Trump in the case of mishandling classified documents has set May 20 as the date for his trial." The ruling issued by Aileen Cannon, a district judge in Fort Pierce, Florida, places Trump's criminal trial less than six months before the presidential election scheduled for November 2024. Trump is currently leading the Republican primary race.
