Two sources familiar with the matter confirmed to Reuters that former Republican Vice President Mike Pence will join the 2024 presidential race on June 7, competing against his former boss Donald Trump. The sources added that Pence will kick off his campaign seeking the Republican nomination with a video and a speech in the state of Iowa. Pence had angered Trump when he refused to support efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
